Shipping

This Shipping Policy explains how your Carbon Jewelry order is made, shipped, and delivered, including timelines, courier partners, customs handling, and delivery requirements. It should be read alongside our Terms & Conditions.
1. Our Delivery Process
Every Carbon Jewelry piece follows a carefully managed journey from creation to your door:
Manufactured in India → Insured Priority Air Freight → UK Assay Office / UK Hub → Delivered to You
- Manufacturing: Your jewellery is expertly handcrafted at our manufacturing facility in India.
- Insured Priority Air Freight: Once quality-checked, your item is shipped to the UK via insured, priority international air freight, ensuring both speed and full protection of value in transit.
- UK Assay Office / UK Hub: On arrival in the UK, applicable items are processed through the UK Assay Office for hallmarking (as legally required for certain precious metal jewellery) and/or our UK distribution hub for final inspection and quality control.
- Final Delivery: From our UK hub, your order is despatched for final-mile delivery to your address.
This process ensures every piece meets UK hallmarking and quality standards before it reaches you.
2. Lead Times
- Ready-to-Ship Products: Estimated delivery within 3–4 business weeks from order confirmation, covering manufacturing completion, international freight, UK processing, and final delivery.
- Made-to-Order / Bespoke Products: Lead times may vary and will be confirmed separately at the time of order, given the additional design and production steps involved.
- Lead times are estimates and not guaranteed. While we work to ensure timely delivery, timelines may occasionally be affected by factors outside our control, such as customs processing, courier delays, or high-demand periods (e.g. holidays). We will keep you informed of any significant delays.
3. Courier Partners
We work with trusted, reputable couriers to ensure your order arrives safely, including:
- DHL (Express/Priority services, primarily used for insured international and high-value shipments)
- Royal Mail (used where appropriate and available for UK final-mile delivery)
The specific courier used for your order will depend on the item's value, destination, and service availability at the time of despatch. Tracking details will be provided once your order is despatched.
4. Signature on Delivery
Given the value of our jewellery, all deliveries require a signature from an adult (18+) at the delivery address upon receipt.
- We are unable to leave parcels unattended, with neighbours, or in a safe place.
- If you are not available at the time of delivery, the courier will typically leave a card with instructions for redelivery or collection from a local depot/service point.
- Please ensure someone is available to sign, or that redelivery/collection arrangements are made promptly, to avoid delays in receiving your order.
Risk in the goods passes to you only once delivery has been completed and signed for, in line with our Terms & Conditions.
5. Customs, Duties & Import Charges — No Additional Charges to You
We know that unexpected customs bills can be frustrating — that's why we've built our shipping process so you will not be charged any additional customs duties, import taxes, or clearance fees on delivery.
- We Cover All Import Costs: Carbon Jewelry arranges and pays for all applicable UK customs clearance fees, import duties, and other charges associated with bringing your order from India into the UK.
- Delivered Duty Paid (DDP): All shipments are sent on a Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) basis. This means the price you pay at checkout is the total price — there are no hidden costs, and you will not be asked to pay anything further to release your parcel from customs.
- No Surprises at Your Door: You should never be asked by a courier to pay customs, duty, or handling charges to receive your Carbon Jewelry order within the UK. If this does happen, please contact us immediately at support@carbon.jewelry and we will resolve it on your behalf — you should not be out of pocket.
(This policy applies to standard UK deliveries. For international orders outside the UK, please contact us to confirm applicable customs arrangements before ordering.)
6. Order Tracking
Once your order has been despatched from our UK hub, you will receive a confirmation email with tracking details so you can follow your delivery's progress in real time.
7. Delivery Issues
If your order is delayed, appears lost, or arrives damaged, please contact our customer service team as soon as possible at support@carbon.jewelry with your order number, and we will investigate promptly. All shipments are fully insured, so any loss or damage in transit will be resolved at no cost to you.
